Happy Friday, everyone! Down at Lackland this morning, hundreds of eager new Airmen are participating in Parade right now, wearing their stripes and ribbons for the first time! Crazy to think that the cycle never ends. They’ll show off their best marching, then be released to their families for an off-base pass, as long as they haven’t lost the privilege. Thank you to everyone that’s been tuning in to read (and hopefully enjoy!) my series on my experience at BMT. I’ve been telling most of my stories and speaking as though I’m you were enlisting, which is an easier format for me to get my information and experiences across. If you’re not enlisting, disregard the directives, clearly.
I recognize that not all of you are interested in reading BMT stories all of the time, so I will either try to put BMT in the title or start the title with “BMT:.” I am also listing all of the BMT posts under the page, “Heading to BMT?” at the top for easy access, in addition to using the “BMT” label for my posts.
I’m a 31 year old Navy sister, Army wife - Air Force wife to a prior service Marine/Soldier, and an Air Force Reservist. I am a happy wife and mother. My husband switched branches and joined me in the Air Force Reserve. We look forward to a future of dual military service!
